It is worth noting that on April 9, 2025, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed the new Water Code into law. For the first time in Kazakhstan’s legislation, the concept of “water security” was introduced, enshrining the protection of the interests of citizens, the economy, and the state in relation to water resources.
