On September 11, the XIX International Atyrau Legal Conference was held in Atyrau, bringing together representatives of the legal community, business sector, and government authorities to discuss current issues of legislation and law enforcement practice.
As part of the conference, Ekaterina Nurperzentova, Head of Litigation Practice at Olympex Advisers, delivered a presentation on “Protection of Personal Data When Using and Training Artificial Intelligence in the Republic of Kazakhstan.”
In her presentation, Ekaterina addressed key legislative developments in Kazakhstan related to artificial intelligence and personal data protection, issues of responsibility allocation in the use of AI, the rights of personal data subjects, as well as legal and practical challenges arising during the training and implementation of artificial intelligence systems.
Special attention was paid to improving legal regulation mechanisms, auditing high-risk AI systems, protecting personal data during model training, and further development of the regulatory framework in this area.
We thank the organizers of the conference for the opportunity to exchange expertise and discuss the legal aspects of artificial intelligence development, which are already shaping the future of the digital economy.
